Mike's Declassified Sneakerhead Survival Guide

Culture

The Sneaker game derives from the beginning of time, from when sneakers became a cultural icon. Michael Jordan would wear his original Air Jordan 1s on court although they were banned, and he was fined $5000 each time for it.

Diversity

Just about wherever you go in the world, you can find someone wearing a pair of sneakers. Whether they be Nike Air Max 1s in London, Kobes in the Phillipines, Jordans in Taiwan or even Adidas in the United States, the influence of sneakers globally is undeniable.

Ambition

Sneakers are life for some individuals. In fact, some people make their living off selling sneaker. We can look at iconic figures such as Benjamin Kickz, a teenager who was family friends with DJ Khaled, who now makes millions of dollars from buying and selling sneakers to celebrities.

About Me

My name is Michael, and I have been buying and selling sneakers since freshmen year of high school. Since then, I have collected hundreds of sneakers, completed over a thousand transactions involving buying, trading, and selling sneakers, as well creating an extensive network of individuals across the world who share similar interests in the culture and history of sneakers. This past summer, I was involved in one of the most historic sneaker trades in YouTube History featuring renowned sneaker YouTuber Scoop208 who has over 300,000 subscribers. You can see the video below which features me trading two pairs of Yeezys (one from Kanye's time with Nike and the other during his current contract with Adidas) for a pair of Red Octobers, one of the most lucrative sneakers in the culture of the game.

The Team

Shabab has been a sneaker connoisseur since birth. Even while he was in his mother's belly, the x-rays revealed that he may have been born with Jays On His Feet. Since then he has gone onto diversify his collection with Reeboks, Asics, Runners and more.

- Shabab Waleed, York College.

Sabbir is a long time OG of the sneaker game. For as long as I have known him, he has always had a fresh pair of sneakers with him or in the back of his trunk. More recently he does not collect sneakers as much but his legacy on the community is well respected.

- Sabbir Shahrior, City College.

James Zheng went to the same high school as me, and as far as I know this kid had the iciest outfits in the hallway. Ironic because it looks like he's on a tropical beach. But his Nike SBs could send you to the hospital in no time from broken neck.

- James Zheng, New York University.
